WORK WITH US - PARTNERSHIPS & INVESTMENTS
Partnerships & Investment
Greystonlea has taught me to think bigger.
A rising tide lifts all boats.
For me, that's not an environmental philosophy. It's a business strategy.
And I think there's considerably more we can do with it.
ACCELERATE
Accelerate BOS
The next five years don't require me to invent another business. They allow me to build more of the one that's already here — faster and more efficiently.
I know where I would deploy additional capital at Greystonlea, the productive capacity it unlocks and the markets we're building for it.
Like many family agricultural businesses, we've spent years growing under capital constraint and overly conservative banking conditions. I don't need to skip the next steps. I'd simply rather take them in two than seven.
I'm open to an investment partner who understands what I'm building, sees the value in the whole system and wants to participate in the next stage of BOS, who understands the single most important thing a business can do is EXECUTE well.

THE BIGGER QUESTION
What could we build?
This is the opportunity that excites me most.
I'm incredibly proud of what I've built at Greystonlea, but building my own little piece of paradise was never really the end game.
Greystonlea has shown me what can happen when you look at an agricultural asset differently.
There isn't a BOS formula that I want to stamp onto another property. Give me different land, water, climate, markets, infrastructure, people and capital and the answer should be different. That's the opportunity.
I'm interested in working with family offices, investment funds, institutions and other capital partners who want to build productive, resilient agricultural businesses at a much larger scale.
Businesses where commercial returns, productive landscapes, healthy animals, capable people and thriving regional communities aren't treated as separate ambitions.
Get the system right and improvements start reinforcing each other.
A rising tide lifts all boats.
I think there is an opportunity to build something significant from that thinking. And Greystonlea has taught me that perhaps I should stop being quite so conservative about how big that could be.
If you're wondering the same thing, give me a call.
GREEN CAPITAL
Green Capital, Real Outcomes
There is a remarkable amount of capital looking for environmental and agricultural outcomes right now. I think that's an enormous opportunity.
I also think the quality of the system underneath the investment matters enormously.
Agriculture doesn't operate neatly on a spreadsheet. Neither does nature. Data matters. Technology matters. Measurement matters. But so do experience, observation, local knowledge and understanding how changes in one part of a system affect everything around it.
Does it work? Does it pay? Does it last? And what else changes because we did it?
Those are the questions I'm interested in.
If you're deploying capital into agriculture and asking similar ones, we should probably talk.
INNOVATION PARTNERSHIPS
Innovate & Test
I'm genuinely interested in working with people developing better ways to do things in agriculture.
BOS is tech-focused and quick to adopt innovation, but never at the expense of the knowledge that makes someone a genuinely good cattleman, farmer or stockperson.
You can't run a cattle business from a spreadsheet or an app. The best outcomes I've seen come from combining good technology and good data with experience, observation, curiosity and a deep understanding of the animals and environment you're working with.
Greystonlea gives us a commercial testing ground across cattle feeding, grazing, cropping, irrigation, water, energy and infrastructure.
If you're developing something interesting and need somewhere real to prove it, I'd like to talk.
