WORK WITH US - CATTLE SOLUTIONS

Need a solution for your cattle?

Not every mob needs the same thing.

At Greystonlea, we have the grazing country, backgrounding capacity, feedlot infrastructure and feed production to use different parts of the system in different ways.

That gives us room to look at the cattle in front of us, understand where they are now, and where they need to be and work out how BOS can get them there.

Custom Feeding

GRAIN-FED PROGRAMS

Custom Feeding

Our feedlot supports a range of feeding programs, backed by on-farm fodder production, grain and commodity storage, cattle handling infrastructure and a team that pays attention to the detail.

We can work with clients on feeding programs built around cattle type, market specification and required days on feed, with clear communication and reporting throughout.

Backgrounding

GROW & PREPARE

Backgrounding

Backgrounding is a significant part of what we do at Greystonlea, and in our eyes isn an essential part of the grainfed production pathway.

Improved grazing country, purpose-built backgrounding infrastructure and integration with the feedlot give us options around how cattle are grown, prepared and transitioned.

Programs can be pasture-based or in pre-conditioning pens depending on the cattle, season, available feed and intended market.

Regenerative Agistment

PUT OUT TO PASTURE

From time to time, Greystonlea's grazing platform may also suit cattle that need country rather than a more structured production program.

Availability will depend on seasonal conditions, pasture capacity and what else is running across the property.

FLEXIBILITY

Sometimes the answer isn't simply background them or put them on feed.

One of the advantages of Greystonlea is the ability to use grazing, backgrounding and grain finishing as complementary parts of the same operation. Cattle can be prepared, grown and finished without every mob having to follow exactly the same pathway.

That flexibility is useful when seasons change, markets move or cattle arrive needing something slightly different from what was originally planned.

THE CATTLE COME FIRST

Whatever the program, the fundamentals don't change.

Good feed.

Clean water.

Careful observation.

Appropriate animal health management.

Good infrastructure.

Quiet, considered stockmanship.

And people who notice when something isn't right.

We take responsibility for cattle in our care seriously.

IS BOS THE RIGHT FIT?

Start with cattle, not a service list.

Tell us what you've got, where they are now, what you're trying to achieve and any timing or market requirements you're working around.

We'll tell you what we can do, what we can't, and whether Greystonlea makes sense for the job.
